ABSTRACT
DURING a study of the pathological abnormalities to be found in the koala (Phscolarctos cinereus), an Australian marsupial, we observed a surprisingly high incidence of cystic ovarian lesions. These closely resembled the serous type of cystadenoma commonly found in women and appeared to arise from the surface epithelium of the ovary.
